Thurlow Nunn Vauxhall has newly-fitted electric vehicle charging points at its Norwich dealership in Hall Road.
Eco-conscious drivers in and around Norwich can charge their electric vehicles free at the only dealer in Norfolk to stock the new award-winning Vauxhall Ampera extended range electric vehicle.
Ali May-Khalil, regional manager at Thurlow Nunn Norwich, said: 'As one of only 24 Ampera specialist retailers in the whole UK Vauxhall network, we feel that it is our duty to lead the way when it comes to making the possibility of driving an electric vehicle a reality for more and more motorists.
'The really special thing about the Ampera is that it can run on battery power alone for 25 to 50 miles on a single charge before a small range-extending petrol engine kicks in for the next 310 miles, making it a viable option for day-to-day use and providing a substantial saving on the cost of fuel.'
The vehicle's cutting-edge technology has seen the Ampera win 40 awards in the last year alone, including European Car of the Year.
