Trains services on the Norwich to London line are now back to normal following delays earlier today.
An obstruction on the line had previously caused delays of up to about 40 minutes.
A Greater Anglia spokesman said an obstruction on the line at Colchester was reported at about 11.40am today and that this was cleared at about midday.
There continued to be delays of up to 40 minutes for passengers for some time but services returned to normal by 1.40pm.
