People passing an STS Tyre Pros centre in Norwich could have been forgiven for thinking it had become a Mazda dealership.

More than 40 members of the local Mazda MX-5 owners club took their cars to the site off Canary Way for a Pirelli performance evening, meeting motoring experts to get up to speed with the latest ways to optimise their cars' performance.

The event saw three Pirelli technicians and the expert Tyre Pros centre staff provide a series of demonstrations focusing on several areas of motoring performance including the centre's state-of-the-art Hunter wheel-alignment technology, a tyre technology session and advice on EU labelling.

Groups could also test their driving ability on Grand Prix circuits on Pirelli's F1 simulator and compete win great prizes.

Kieron Thompson, STS Tyre Pros centre manager, said: 'Our Pirelli performance evening was a hugely-successful event. The team at the centre thoroughly enjoyed talking to other motoring enthusiasts about the many ways to optimise the performance of their cars and carrying out demonstrations on the night.'
