Magdalen Street in Norwich will be closed overnight on Easter Sunday to allow BT to carry out engineering work.

The work is taking place on the road near Anglia Square from March 21 to March 29 as BT carry out essential engineering work.

A spokesperson for BT confirmed the plans and said the road will only be shut for one night. 'We will be starting works on March 21 to carry out excavations to install new chambers and ducting for cabling and work is estimated to be completed by March 29,' they said.

'We will mainly be working on the closed pavement, however the road will also be closed overnight on March 27 (Easter Sunday) to allow excavations to take place in the carriageway.'
