Police and ambulance crews were called out to a three-car crash at Dunston this morning.
The crash, involving a Vauxhall Omega, Fiat Punto and Renault Clio, happened on the A140 near to Dunston at 8.37am.
The road was cleared at 9.20am.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said a women in her 50s was treated at the scene for minor injuries and no one was taken to hospital.
