Marshall Ford and Toyota dealerships in King's Lynn are giving customers the best of both worlds when it comes to prices and service.

This year has seen a dramatic change in the direction of the business with the Scania Way dealerships now offering its used cars at car supermarket prices, with significant savings, but customers still receive the benefits and peace of mind associated with buying from the town's Ford and Toyota main dealer.

General manager Simon Oakley, who joined the business in June, said: 'Our cars are priced to sell. The whole business concept has changed – we are now delivering a best-of-both-world experience to our customers.

'The customer can buy at a reduced supermarket price level but also get the benefit of buying from a main dealer.

'With lower prices now on offer, for both new and used cars in stock, we have seen our customer base extend to all areas of the UK. With our compound full of stock we can now make sure that our customers not only have a wide selection of cars to choose from but they are much more affordable.'

He said that the lower prices also benefited people who did not like the haggling process over the price of a car.

'It is all about treating customers fairly as well. It is a transparent transaction now – that is the price of the car.'

Mr Oakley said the move was part of his aim to generate a customer base for Marshall Ford and Toyota at Lynn that stretched much further afield than the local area while attracting and retaining local customers who would know they were getting good value pricing for used cars.

And he is confident that the vast majority of car-buyers will warm to the change to the way the town's Marshall Ford and Toyota dealerships price and sell their used cars.

'Our inquiry level has gone up greatly and every day we are looking at our national competitors to make sure our prices in King's Lynn are attractively competitive.

'People will come from all over the UK for the right car at the right price,' he said. 'And they have done their homework before they come to the dealership.'

The Ford and Toyota dealerships are also offering very competitive pricing on new cars to give customers the best possible value purchase.

'So whether you are looking for a used car up to seven years old or a brand new 14-reg car make sure you visit us so we can show you what you can save today and still enjoy the experience of purchasing from the main local dealer.'

And customers who test-drive any new or used Ford or Toyota at the King's Lynn site before March 30 will receive a £100 Thomas Cook voucher.
