A passenger carrying a shaving razor and acting suspiciously led to a train from Norwich being met in London by police today (Wednesday).

British Transport Police said officers were called to Stratford International station at 4.16pm.

It followed reports of a 'distressed man' on the 3pm train from Norwich to London Liverpool Street.

A spokesman said: 'A man was carrying a shaving razor, but no allegations were made against him. The man, who was travelling with a valid ticket, was spoken to by officers.'

Rail operator Greater Anglia confirmed police had been called following reports of a man acting suspiciously.
