Emergency services were called at about 7.15am following the accident involving a silver and black Honda motorcycle and a white Mazda 323 car, half a mile south of the Fiveways roundabout.
The northbound carriageway of the A11 was closed and one land of the southbound carriageway was blocked for more than two hours.
The male motorcyclist, who is a member of the US Air Force, was taken to RAF Lakenheath's hospital with multiple broken bones. The car driver was uninjured.
