A busy roundabout junction off the A140 had to be closed after a tractor and trailer overturned blocking a road in South Norfolk.

Emergency services were called to Tivetshall Road between the A140 junction and Pulham Market at 4.07pm today (October 17).

A tractor and trailer had overturned completely blocking the single carriageway country road on a bend close to the junction with Guildhall Lane before it reaches the village.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and ambulance crews treated him for minor injuries.

Four Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service crews from Carrow and Harleston attended the incident and provided scene safety and carried out vehicle stability.

Police closed the road at the junction on the Tivetshall roundabout on the A140 and at Pulham Market to allow for the the recovery of the tractor and trailer. Rush hour traffic was diverted on to alternative routes.
