Musician Ed Sheeran saw his debut single, The A Team, enter the charts at number three tonight.
The 20-year-old from Suffolk, who made a name for himself gigging on the Norwich music circuit, said on Twitter: 'Having a top 3 on my debut single means the world, thank you everyone who has supported it, radio, tv, press, artists, fans, love to you all.'
Ed won Norwich's Next Big Thing competition which was sponsored at the time by the Evening News, and he will return to the city next month to play three sold out gigs on consecutive nights at The Waterfront.
