The long-running Sheringham town crier came out on top in an international competition celebrating the tradition.
Tony Nelson (pictured), 75, from Alexandra Road, won the Sunday contest at the Bromyard International Town Criers Festival in Herefordshire.
He was up against eight other competitors from Somerset, Wiltshire, Herefordshire and Staffordshire and the two-day event was held last weekend.
Mr Nelson, Sheringham Carnival president, has been town crier since 1987.
He said: 'I didn't expect to win. I was in very distinguished company. A town crier gives a little bit of colour to the streets. It is a bit of fun. I do it to offer a little bit back to the town where I have lived for more than 40 years. It has been good to me.'
Mr Nelson said taking part in the contest was a way of advertising Sheringham.
He won with a cry about an experience at Wembley Stadium when he walked out in front of 100,000 people because of a sports game ticket mix up.
