A charity which works to improve the lives of people in Norfolk with physical, sensory and learning disabilities has appointed a new chief executive.
Tom Garrod, 29, has been a trustee of Nansa since 2014, and is also a county councillor.
Mr Garrod, who has ataxic cerebral palsy, said: 'When somebody asks me 'what can Nansa do for people with disabilities?' I can say 'We make them chief executive'. It is a real privilege to be chosen by the board of trustees to take the charity forward.
'I look forward to leading a great team of people that enable our clients to achieve their personal goals and ambitions by empowering them to overcome the barriers of their disabilities. We will strive to deliver innovative services that focuses on achieving the outcomes for our clients.'
Paul Denham, on behalf of trustees, said 'We are delighted that Tom will be joining Nansa as our new chief executive.'
