Toftwood Community Angling Club celebrated 18 months of hard work paying off with a free fishing day.

Fifty children and adults registering to have a go at fishing.

The pond has undergone a massive transformation over the last 18 months, thanks to a £5,000 grant from Tesco Bags of Help and a fishing licence, granted by Dereham Town Council.

Elio Cole for Tesco Extra and Dereham town councillor Phillip Duigan unveiled Toftwood Angling Club's new notice board.

The Tesco grant has purchased 10 recycled plastic fishing platforms, one of which is suitable for wheelchairs. The club has also purchased two lifebuoys and three benches.

John Manley, from Toftwood Community Angling Club, thanked everyone for their support, including Myhills of Dereham, Marukyu Baits, the Angling Trust, Jewson, MKM, Mr Plastic Imprint Designs and everyone who helped turn this neglected pond into a lovely place to fish.
