Time is ticking – there are just days left to nominate the unsung heroes and bravest in your communities for a prestigious award.

The deadline for nominations in our Stars of Norfolk and Waveney Awards is on Monday, October 12 – leaving you with just six days to put your community stalwarts forward.

With 15 categories including carer, small business community support, armed services award and police person of the year, there is plenty of scope to nominate those whose efforts often goes overlooked.

Winners who attended last year's ceremony described it as a 'magical night'. The Overall Star of Norfolk in 2014 was Mark Thompson, who saved the lives of a woman and her dog after a car burst into flames after a head-on crash with a lorry.

On Monday, October 19, our panel of judges will meet to whittle down the nominations to a shortlist of just three per category, before the awards ceremony on Thursday, December 3.

No act of bravery or community spirit is too small – we would like to hear from you so we can recognise those who deserve it the most.
