Get your skates on – tickets for a magical winter wonderland are selling fast.

The Eastern Daily Press and sister newspaper the Norwich Evening News will be bringing an icy paradise to Norwich city centre.

And the telephone lines for the much-anticipated event have been ringing non-stop as eager skaters are keen to have their slice of the festive fun.

Set in the Castle Mall gardens every day except Christmas Day from December 6 to January 2, the event promises to bring Christmas cheer to the city as well as provide the perfect backdrop for romantic days or a fun night out.

Sponsored by Norwich International airport, the site will also host much-loved festive figures including Father Christmas, a giant bouncy snowman, special visits from fantasy characters and adorable reindeers.

As well as skating and the other attractions, there will be a selection of hot local food to enjoy.

Archant's ice rink organiser, Maryrisa Chappell, said: 'We have been overwhelmed by the response to our ice rink in Norwich. The tickets are selling fast, so don't miss out.'
