A man suffered slight injuries after his car crashed into a house on a south Norfolk road.

The blue Vauxhall Astra was travelling along Goose Green, just north of Winfarthing, when it left the carriageway just before 10am today (Tuesday, October 10).

Police, ambulance and Norfolk Fire and Rescue were all called to the scene, and the driver was treated there before being taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

A resident who lives nearby said she heard 'a thud' when it happened.

Police were directing traffic around the scene, but the road has since been cleared.

A police spokesman said: 'We were called at 9.57am.

'One male sustained a slight injury and there was minor damage to the house. The scene was cleared by 11.32am.'
