A three-week temporary diversion of a section of the Marriott’s Way Norfolk Trail will be in place from Saturday to allow for repairs to the surface of the path.
The path closure will remain in place overnight and at weekends until the work is complete.
A signed diversion route, following country roads, leaves the Marriott’s Way at Heath Lane to the north of Great Witchingham and re-joins the route at Whitwell Road near Whitwell station.
The repairs are needed due to the surface being affected by the tree maintenance work that has seen this section of the path closed for the past three weeks.
The damaged path surface will be re-levelled and allowed to dry out before it is reopened to the public on or around Friday, March 10.
