A road was closed for more than two hours following a three vehicle crash.
Emergency services, including police and fire, were called to the crash on the A146 at Beccles just after 5pm today (Friday, February 2).
PC Callum Walchester from the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing Team said two vehicles travelling towards Lowestoft on the Beccles bridge crashed.
This resulted in one of them veering into the opposite lane and colliding head on with another vehicle heading towards Norwich.
PC Walchester said: “All three vehicles sustained significant damage and were subsequently recovered.
“Fortunately only minor injuries were sustained by all three drivers.”
All three drivers provided negative breath tests.
One of the motorists was interviewed at the roadside and reported.
The road closed following the crash and was shut throughout the investigation.
It reopened at 7.50pm.
Earlier the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing Team had tweeted: : “We are currently working hard to get the A146 at #Beccles open again due to a 3 vehicle head on collision. Thankyou for your patience. If your journey is not essential or there’s an alternative route please avoid the area. #1826.”
