Three vehicles have been involved in a serious collision on the A47 at Scarning, near Dereham.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 2pm on Friday, December 22.
Two fire engines have been sent to the crash, and it is believed that a person is still inside a vehicle.
Diversions are in place and police expect the road to remain closed for some time.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
An eyewitness reported seeing three ambulances, two paramedics, a fire chief car and an air ambulance car heading towards the scene.
