Three Norfolk fish and chip shops are in the running for the accolade of being crowned the best in eastern England.
Grosvenor Fish Bar, in Norwich, My Plaice Fish and Chips, in Great Yarmouth, and French's Fish Shop, in Wells, are among six businesses to be shortlisted for eastern England's Independent Takeaway Fish and Chip Shop of the Year in the 2015 National Fish and Chip Awards.
The other three businesses shortlisted in the category are: The Cods Scallops, Wollaton, Nottingham; Burton Road Chippy, Lincoln, Lincolnshire; and George's Fish Bar, Bourne, Lincolnshire.
Each shop has been judged by industry experts and visited by a mystery diner. The shops have been assessed on criteria which includes product quality, sustainable sourcing, marketing and customer service.
The event is organised by Seafish, the authority on seafood.
