Three men have been arrested after reports of a shot being fired at a home in Great Yarmouth.

The men were arrested in connection with an incident in Great Yarmouth in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, November 27).

A police spokesman said: 'Officers were called just after 12am to reports of a shot being fired at an address in St Peter's Road causing damage to a window.

'Specialist officers were deployed and found a female at the address had suffered minor cuts as a result of the window damage. She was taken to the James Paget Hospital for treatment.'

About an hour later, at around 1am, a further call was made to police reporting a disturbance at an address in Barkis Road.

A short time later officers arrested three men in connection with both incidents. The men, aged in their late teens and from the Great Yarmouth area, have been taken into custody to be questioned later today (Sunday).

Supt Dennis Lacey said: 'We understand an incident of this nature is going to cause concern for the local community; however, we do believe it is an isolated incident.

'Extra officers will be in the area today to offer reassurance to residents and talk to them about any concerns they may have.

'We would also ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with information, to contact police on 101.'
