Thousands of Tamil pilgrims made the journey to the shrine at Walsingham for the first of two visits this year.
The event saw about 8,000 Tamils attend mass at midday today.
Christians and Hindus both revere the Virgin Mary and the Roman Catholic shrine at Walsingham attracts thousands of Tamils each year.
Yesterday's Tamil One pilgrimage was the precursor of a larger event in July. That annual pilgrimage, known as Tamil Two, regularly draws up to 14,000 Tamils and is held on the second Sunday in July.
