Thousands of people descended on the Sandringham Estate for two days of country sports, rural pursuits and family attractions that celebrate Norfolk's rural life.
The popular Sandringham Game and Country Show returned with displays, demonstrations, trade stands for all those interested in all manner of country pursuits. The fair this year boasted three big arenas with a jam-packed programme taking in everything from equestrian events, falconry demonstrations, fly casting and clay pigeon shooting.
The predominantly green and brown clad crowds thronged the site many having brought their dogs.
John and Shelia Anderson, from near Fakenham, had their great dane Bobby in tow as they also juggled two wooden bird tables they had bought.
Mr Anderson said: 'This is a rural county and this is proper Norfolk. We come every year and it is always great to see the horse shows and birds of prey. You get a sense of people with a similar outlook on life, that they love the countryside.'
The main arena boasts thrills and spills of Horseboarding UK which reach the sixth of their national heats at Sandringham Country Show. The crowds were also enjoying display teams of horses, scurry driving and dogs.
As in previous years there were whole areas devoted to falconry, fishing, wildfowling, archery and many other country sports and pursuits, together with lots of activities for families (and their dogs) which makes this event a true celebration of country living.
Shadowquest Dog Display team headlined in the dog arena again alongside doggy displays of all types, from hounds to rare breeds, obedience work, display teams, working dogs and lots more.
Vintage and steam also played a huge part and there was a field full of steam engines, military vehicles of all shapes and sizes, classic cars, emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery.
The tractor arena had displays of bygone argicultre from huge vintage tractors to small ride-on miniature machines and even walk behind cutting and harvesters.
Some people stayed at Sandringham all weekend including the Retro Caravan Club with a site that looked like a recreation of Carry On Camping.
