These chip shop staff look good enough to eat

They make their living by cooking and serving food, but for three days this week, staff at Fakenham fish and chip shop will be dressed as food.

Workers at Drifters, on Oak Street, will be serving customers in the wacky outfits on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to raise money for Children in Need.

Drifters staff are also organising a bingo and raffle at Fakenham Community Centre on Sunday for the charity and local businesses have donated prizes.

They have never been too shy to dress up for Children in Need. Last year they dressed up as big babies and the year before as characters from Alice in Wonderland. Manager Jonathan Hollings said: 'We feel it is important to make an effort. We have a lot of fun with the customers who always give generously and help raise money for a good cause.

'Last year we raised more than 1,900 and hopefully, with the raffle and bingo, we will do even better this year.'

Sunday's bingo session starts at 7pm.

Crambles caf, in Dereham High Street, raised 141 for Children In Need on Saturday by selling cakes.
