‘There will be a Christmas lights display - even if it kills me’ - business forum chairman defiant after vandals tamper with Dereham Christmas lights
Roger Atterwill, chairman of Dereham Business Forum putting the Christmas lights up in Dereham earlier this week.
Anger has been expressed after Dereham's Christmas lights display was tampered with.
On both Thursday night and Friday night, bulbs have been removed from the lights.
The Christmas lights are due to be switched on in Dereham at 4.30pm today.
Roger Atterwill, chairman of Dereham Business Forum, who put the lights up, said: 'There will be a Christmas lights display in Dereham - even if it kills me.'
He added: 'There has been a tremendous community effort with this year's display and it is very frustrating that people come along and do this.
'There is no accounting for idiots.
'I am moving things around and making some alterations to make sure we have a display.
