A new club aimed at bringing together those with memory problems and their carers for a few hours of fun has launched in Norwich. The Sunshine Club is based at the Mile Cross Salvation Army at the Boundary in Norwich.

The club's aim is to create a few hours of fun and games for their members, based around a theme.

The club meets on the first Thursday of each month, and is run by Pat and Richard Thorpe.

The theme this month was holidays and the seaside.

Members entered the room to find hats, sunglasses, a butterfly net, and of course, knotted handkerchiefs.

Ready for their travels, the group took part in a number of games as well as a quiz, and of course a sing-a-long.

They then had coffee and biscuits, and of course some ice cream.

Anyone interested in the club is invited to come along to the next one, which is on August 2.
