England might not be bringing home the trophy but one Norwich pub is still asking fans to make some noise and help it secure the title of King of Pubs.
The Murderers pub in Norwich has made it through to the final of the Budweiser King of Pubs competition.
Running alongside the football tournament the competition seeks to find the pub with the loudest football supporters in the country by measuring the volume of cheers during each match.
Now, on Sunday July 15 the Norwich venue will go head to head with a London pub in a bid to be crowned the King of Pubs and secure half-an-hour of free Budweiser for its patrons.
To help it achieve the feat, The Murderers' landlord, Phil Cutter is sending out a rallying cry for French and Croatian fans to watch the game at his pub.
'We've been whittled down to the last two pubs and are up against The Swan in London. We are only a little pub but we punch above our weight, its time to get behind The Murderers and bring it home.'
Adding that he had been blown away by the atmosphere during the city throughout the World Cup Mr Cuttings said: 'It's my eighth World Cup at The Murderers. I know that historically, the further we get in the tournament the more it captures people's imaginations and people get behind it.
'It's been absolutely fantastic, people have been just walking around with smiles on their faces.
'Even though we lost, it's the experience. I think that the fact that in the last three games there have only been seven arrests which are football related is a real credit to publicans and supporters.
'We haven't quite won the World Cup but if we can bring that pride back to Norfolk by making The Murderers the best and noisiest pub in the country that can be our win. Come down and help us try to bring it home.'
The world Cup final match between France and Croatia will kick off at 4pm on Sunday. The winner of the King of Pubs contest will be named when the full time whistle goes.
