The magic of Harry Potter was brought to a mid Norfolk school.
Children at Yaxham Primary School dressed as their favourite characters and walked through platform nine and three quarters when they arrived at school and were sorted out into house teams.
Children attended potion writing classes, a drama class (charms), an illustration class (magical beasts) and a science lesson (potions) and were visited by owls and reptiles.
Teacher Jennie Greenfield said: 'The idea behind the whole school day was to spark interest in reading and to step into a magical, fantasy world. It has been wonderful to see many children becoming hooked on Harry Potter. As teachers we always strive to bring subjects alive and promote a love for learning. I believe this is important, now more than ever, we need to provide enriching experiences for our children.'
