A hotel in North Norfolk has been recognised as a 'hidden jewel' in the UK's leading independent hotel guide.
The Gunton Arms in Thorpe Market near Cromer has been named in The Good Hotel Guide 2019 as one of ten hotels that make up This Year's Discoveries.
The category consists of hotels which were recommended by their customers and then judged by the guide's editors who 'scoured the country for hidden jewels'.
Like the other hotels on the list, The Gunton Arms, which is situated in a one-thousand acre deer park, was deemed as offering something unique.
Simone Tattersall, general manager at The Gunton Arms, said: '[The Good Hotel Guide] is the pinnacle of independent hotel guides, with that in mind it's incredibly important to us that we've made the list this year. We're delighted.
'I think the reason we've been recognised is because we offer a unique blend of five-star surroundings in a relaxed atmosphere.
'From our rooms designed by Robert Kime to the art work, which is the owner Ivor Braka's forte, to the kitchen run by my husband and I, it's the balance of all these things that make it such a good place to stay.

The Gunton Arms opened as a hotel in October 2011. For the past two years it has hosted The Gunton Festival of Food and Music.
The guide's editors said that The Gunton Arms is one of the most unusual hotels they've ever visited and that every room is unique and characterful.
