The East Anglian Air Ambulance called to Gayton this morning

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: 'A male believed to be in his 40s was treated at the scene and taken to hospital by land ambulance.

'He was conscious and breathing but had sustained serious head injuries in the single-vehicle collision. He is described as being in a serious but stable condition.'

The spokesman added: 'The patient was not required to be air lifted to hospital although the air ambulance did also attend.'

Emergency services were called to reports of the incident at around 8.15am.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews to the scene - one from Massingham and King's Lynn South - to help remove the patient from the vehicle which had rolled over.
