People are being urged to show their love for West Norfolk and join in the county's first Love West Norfolk day on February 14.

The organisers of the event want individuals, companies and organisations to celebrate and promote everything West Norfolk on Valentine's Day.

Do you visit the Corn Exchange to see the wonderful performances showcased there? Have you visited Sandringham when the Royals are in residence?

During the summer are the beaches like a holiday on your doorstep? The Love West Norfolk campaign want to hear from you.

There are a number of ways to have your say - share your pictures on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #lovewestnofolk, we want to hear your views, stories, quotes and memories of West Norfolk.

West Norfolk council leader Brian Long said: 'Love West Norfolk day is an opportunity for us all to celebrate and promote our fantastic area and be proud about all the wonderful things that we have.'

Businesses are also being encouraged to display the Love West Norfolk logo on their websites and emails as well as having a photo using the campaign selfie sign.

People can also show their support by raising money for local causes through bake sales or dress down days.

High Sheriff of Norfolk James Bagge, who lives at Stradsett near Downham Market, has lent his support for the campaign.

He said: ''Born, bred and brought up in West Norfolk. Love the accent, love the people, love the life in West Norfolk.

'Where else do you have better skies? Where else do the trees so adorn the horizon? Why else would my family have stayed for 800 years or more.'
