Two 19-year-olds from the North Walsham area died in a double fatal crash involving their sports car and a bus.

Christopher Hayden from Bacton Road, Edingthorpe and Nathan Wharton from Lynfield Road, North Walsham were in a Toyota MR2 heading towards Norwich on Saturday afternoon.

It collided with a yellow coach heading in the opposite direction at Crostwick on the B1150 near the junction with Common Loke.

The Toyota also had a “minor contact” with a red Nissan Primera as went to overtake it, said police, who have just named the victims and are appealing for witnesses of the accident which happened at 3.40pm.

Pc Sean Tearle of North Walsham road policing would like to hear from any witnesses or people with information, in particular the occupants of a silver or light-coloured Renault Clio which is believed to have been at the head of a queue of traffic close to the collision.
