A teenager has been taken to hospital with a serious head injury after being involved in a collision with a transit van on the Holt Road near Horsford.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance landed near to the scene but as the woman's injuries were not believed to be life threatening she has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital via land ambulance.
All emergency services attended the scene after the initial call was made around 3.17pm. A silver Ford Focus had collided with a Ford transit van.
Fire crews from Sprowston and Earlham attended, and assisted the ambulance and police while also making the vehicles safe.
The male driver of the van has been treated for neck pain, and both patients were taken to hospital via land ambulance.
