Teenager injured after beach assault in Lowestoft

Police are seeking witnesses after trouble flared in an altercation on the beach in Lowestoft,

An 18-year-old man suffered bruising, swelling and cuts to his head and face after the altercation on the beach, near The Upper Esplanade close to Kensington Gardens, between 11.45pm and midnight on Saturday night (November 30).

Another 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault and he has been bailed to return to police on January 6, to allow further inquiries to be carried out.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen the incident to call PC 1882 Ogley at Lowestoft police on 101.
