A teenage woman has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a moped.

The East of England Ambulance Service received a call at 1pm on Monday to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and moped in King John Avenue in Gaywood near King's Lynn.

An ambulance crew and the Norfolk Accident Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene.

They treated the pedestrian, a woman in her late teens, who had suffered a serious leg injury.

She was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further care. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
