Brave teddies will take the trip of a lifetime next month as a popular fete returns to Lowestoft.

The St Margaret's Church fete will see teddy bears flying again as a zip wire ride takes centre stage.

The fete will be held in the church grounds from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, July 1, with the ride testing the bravery and courage of teddy bears as they swoop down from the roof of the church porch into the churchyard below.

With the zip wire ride open throughout, and all sizes of teddy bears taking the ride for 50p a trip, each teddy bear will receive a special certificate to mark the occasion.

Refreshments, including hot dogs, bacon rolls, tea, coffee and cakes, will be available in the church centre and there will also be stalls selling cakes, plants and bric-a-brac – with all proceeds raised in aid of church funds.
