East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) will team up with the Red Cross to celebrate National Nurses' Day.
Two special 'HumaniTea' events will be held at Beccles Community Hospital and ECCH's Lowestoft headquarters, Hamilton House on Friday, May 12, from 11am to 3pm.
ECCH and Red Cross staff will enjoy cups of tea, cakes and games during their work breaks. Certificates will be distributed to all ECCH nurses in recognition of their dedication to their work. The social enterprise's chief executive Jonathan Williams said: 'I hope all our staff know how much we appreciate the commitment they show in supporting people when they need it most. National Nurses' Day is a great way to highlight the difference healthcare workers make around the world - and for us to raise money for a great cause.'
National Nurses' Day is marked around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.
