A primary school hosted a weekend fete to mark its centenary with a range of events and activities paying tribute to the era.
People attended the event on Saturday, July 8, and enjoyed activities ranging from strongman and dog agility displays, to a hog roast and maypole dancing and singing performances from the children.
In the run up to the fete staff and pupils marked the historic occasion by dressing up in clothes from the period and normal lessons were replaced with country dancing, and peg doll and hobby-horse making.
The pupils also tried their hand at writing with fountain pens and learnt some of the playground games from the era.
One of the highlights for the pupils was a special event based around life in the trenches during the First World War. They learnt about what life was like for the soldiers at the time and practised army drills in the playground.
