People in Swaffham are being invited to a day class that will look back at the collapse of the Russian Empire one hundred years ago.

The course is being hosted by the Swaffham branch of the Worker's Educational Association (WEA) and will give participants the opportunity to learn about what led to the Russian Revolution and how it impacted world history.

Philip Spencer, chairman of Swaffham WEA, said: 'It is the centenary of the Russian Revolution and it is an important event that had a huge impact in world history. We're sure it will be of interest to both our members in Swaffham, as well as residents.'

The class is taking place on March 25 at Swaffham Community Centre between 10am and 4pm and attendees do not need to have prior knowledge of the subject. It is open to everyone for £15 and places need to be booked in advance by calling 01760 723558.
