A steady stream of visitors have poured into Filby today to enjoy family fun at village's annual fete - which this year marked a special anniversary.
The traditional afternoon of activities has been held on the playing field every August bank holiday for the last 60 years.
And the dreary weather did not put off residents who took a stroll among the stalls, had a go at the traditional games and enjoyed live music and entertainment from Razz the Clown and his sidekick Pearl.
Adrian Thompson, who is among the organisers, said the wet weather had dampened footfall, with visitor numbers down by around 50pc, and stopped some attractions from going ahead, but the fete's atmosphere remained sunny.
'All the stalls are running and they're still taking money. People are still coming to support us, which is very good,' he added. 'Considering the weather we're very pleased.'
A shooting range, hook a ducks stands and archery were among the activities on offer, while visitors also enjoyed dog agility and karate displays, a browse around the craft and bric-a-brac stalls, live music and a spirit raffle.
All the money raised through the day will go towards the village hall fund. Residents have raised a whopping £140,000 themselves over the last six years, and it is hoped a Lottery grant for £500,000 will give them the total they need to start building the facility.
A fireworks finale at 8pm is due to round off the fete celebrations.
