STUDENTS from a north Suffolk school have been busy learning about the topic of endangered species.

The group from Ilketshall St Lawrence pre-school have been learning about species from hummingbirds to tigers and under the sea creatures.

The ‘Owlets’ group have also had a safari in the school grounds and finished the term with a visit to Southwold beach last week to study the subject.

Staff at the school said fundraising is always on-going and they recently ran a toy stall in Beccles and a jar tombola at the schools sport and fun day on July 15.

Building work is also progressing at the school but staff added: “Everyone is coping well with the disruption and looking forward to completion.”
