Street basketball tournament in King’s Lynn branded a success

There were slam-dunks galore in King's Lynn at the weekend when a street basketball tournament arrived in the heart of the town.

Around 30 teams signed up to take part in the competition with players keen to showcase their attacking and defending skills.

There were a range of prizes for the best teams in three-on-three tournaments and for individuals taking shots at the baskets.

It was the second time the tournament has been held in The Walks with basketball enthusiast and event organiser Deividas Navickis happy with how the day went.

He said: 'The weather has not been too great but I am really pleased with the turn out of teams and spectators.

'We had 25 teams enter last year and this year we have about 30 which shows that there are people interested in playing basketball and this event has been successful.

'I have been impressed with some of the basketball skills I've seen during the games both defending and attacking.
