The second Thetford Awards Recognising Achievement (TARAs) launched in September, allowing people to cast a vote for someone who has gone above and beyond in their community.

Started last year with help from the Times, the awards seek to recognise people from volunteers and community groups to charity fund-raisers and benevolent businesses who goes beyond the call of duty to make others' lives better.

In the 2016 competition there are five categories for nominees including good neighbour, business and volunteer, plus three special awards which will be decided by a judging panel.

With voting closing at the end of November, there is still time to cast a vote if you have not already done so.
