A special information event will give people and businesses in Lowestoft the chance to find out more about current projects taking place in the town.

Waveney District Council will host a two-day event in the town centre on March 17/18 to give an insight into a number of ongoing projects affecting those living in, working in and visiting the area.

Council officers will provide information on the new Lowestoft and Oulton Broad town and parish councils, the merger between Waveney and Suffolk Coastal District Councils, coastal management and flooding, Universal Credit and much more.

Waveney leader Colin Law said: 'This special two-day event will enable everyone who lives in or visits the town to find out more about the issues which affect them.'

This free event takes place on March 17 between 1.30pm and 4.30pm and March 18, from 10am to 4pm, at the former QD store in the Britten Centre.
