The GoGoDragons! are on their way to fire up our fine city - and so is an extra special souvenir celebrating the mythological beasts.
Sunday, June 21 marks the start of the GoGoDragons! charity art trail being brought to Norwich by children’s charity Break and Wild in Art, and tonight the EDP and Evening News has made a very special announcement at Norwich Castle.
We have joined forces with the GoGoDragons! team and East of England Co-op to create a sticker album featuring all 84 decorated dragons who are turning Norwich into their lair this summer - and people will also be able to collect stickers of the GoGoGorillas! troop of apes from summer 2013.
The sticker album - which also features quizzes, the GoGoDragons! trail map and stories about both the dragons and gorillas - will be on sale from Wednesday, June 16, with the first stickers available from next Monday, June 22.
EDP and Norwich Evening News editor Nigel Pickover said: “We are thrilled to have created this sticker album to bring an exciting extra dimension to the GoGoDragons! trail. The East of England Co-op are our great friends in the GoGoDragons! crusade and together we hope thousands of people will enjoy collecting the stickers for this album which will lead to significant extra funds for Break.”
The GoGoDragons! trail of dragon-shaped art through Norwich starts on Sunday, June 21 and runs until September 5.
HOW TO COLLECT YOUR STICKERS
The GoGoDragons! sticker album is available at EDP and Evening News offices, participating East of England Co-op stores, Break charity shops and Norwich department store Jarrold. You can also purchase a copy online here
The book - which is raising funds for Break - costs £5 to buy, and from Monday, June 22 you will also be able to collect your stickers from the same shops. There are 150 stickers for you to collect, including 84 dragon stickers, 54 gorilla stickers and 12 special, shiny stickers.
You will be able to collect the stickers for 10 weeks until Saturday, August 29.
From Monday, June 22 the EDP and Norwich Evening News will be publishing a voucher each day which can be exchanged for one free pack of five stickers, and Saturday’s EDP will include two sticker vouchers.
Alternatively people can buy sticker packs for £1 each.
You can keep collecting all the way to 150 stickers, but if you are extra keen you will also be able to buy your final 20 stickers - subject to availability - direct from the EDP and Norwich Evening News head office in Rouen Road for 20p per sticker.
To do this you will need to show your sticker album filled with 130 stickers.
