Anyone who is interested in becoming a special constable to help make Great Yarmouth a safe place for its residents can find out more at an information evening.

Great Yarmouth Police Station is hosting a special constables information evening on Tuesday, May 23 from 6.45pm.

The evening will provide advice on completing a competency based application form and information on the recruitment and induction process and roles of special constables.

Special constables will be present and attendees can ask questions.

Specials are likely to get involved in all aspects of policing, such as neighbourhood policing, tackling anti-social behaviour, crime prevention, raids, missing person enquiries and traffic accidents.
