Firefighters have responded to a series of incidents across the Great Yarmouth area.

About 8pm last night (Friday) a crew from Great Yarmouth fire station and a fire crew from Gorleston were called out following a blaze in the kitchen area of a home in Nottingham Way, Yarmouth. However, reports of a fire in an oven turned out to be a false alarm.

Fire crews from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston were called out at 10.37pm following a road traffic collision on the High Street at Caister On Sea. The crews 'provided scene safety,' according to a brigade spokesman. At 11.13pm firefighters from Great Yarmouth and Carrow were called to reports of a building fire in Peter Avenue, Acle. The blaze was already out before the fire crews arrived. A brigade spokesman said: 'Crews provided trauma care for one casualty.'

At 10.10am this morning (Saturday) a crew from Gorleston assisted the ambulance service following an incident in Gorleston.
