South Norfolk Council's Pub of the Year competition has launched with residents now being able to vote for their favourite pub.

This year the competition is returning for the 10th year.

Deputy leader councillor Michael Edney said: 'Ten years ago when we started this competition, pubs were closing at an alarming rate.

'Pubs are at the heart of our communities, bringing people together, hosting events and clubs, raising money for charity and so much more and we don't want to lose that.

'If you're passionate about your local and want to show them that you appreciate them, then vote for them.'

The categories for the competition are; Outstanding Community Focus, Best Customer Service, Most Family Friendly and Tastiest Food and Drink.

The pub that receives the most votes in their category will win. An Overall Winner will be decided following a visit to each pub by a group of judges.
