Norfolk Day celebrations, including Guinness World Record attempt, in South Norfolk

The big day has arrived - hundreds of people in South Norfolk will be celebrating everything there is to love about our county.
The flags will be waving for Norfolk Day on the green at the Riverside in Thetford, where the grassed area will play host to an afternoon tea party for older residents in town.
Councillor Adrian Stasiak, Breckland Council's executive member for growth and commercialisation, said: 'Norfolk Day provides another fantastic opportunity for the local community to get together and make the most of this great leisure asset in Thetford.
'It is sure to be a great event with wonderful entertainment in a fantastic setting, so I hope we'll see a really good turnout.'
Diss Town Council showed support for Norfolk Day by creating a video from a host of stores showing off why they love Diss.

Residents and store holders showed their love of The Mere, the market and Diss Park while encouraging people to come and visit Norfolk's 'hidden gem'.

With a few brews to get stuck into there will also be street food and the grand opening of the pub's new kitchen.
And while Norfolk Day will go down in history as one of the best days of the year, why not attempt a world record as well?
South Norfolk Council is attempting to get a new record for the largest gathering of people dressed as hares into the Guinness Book of Records.
It is taking place at the Broads Authority's Totally Broads Day at Whitlingham Country Park in Trowse, where participants adorning rabbit or hare ears, a tail and 12 whiskers, which can be painted on, must gather between 1-2pm.
Enjoy a burger and a brew as the Thomas Paine Hotel in Thetford celebrates all things Norfolk, or for those not looking to take in some of Norfolk's fine ales can join the Attleborough Women's Institute's coffee morning from 10am-1pm at Attleborough Town Hall.
Norfolk-born and raised Dr Ben Garrod, Norfolk Day Norfolk Wildlife Trust ambassador, is journeying across the county to highlight some of the quirky, precious and unknown wildlife nature reserves.
Festivals showcasing some the county's best talents is taking place across South Norfolk - at the Diss Gig in the Park and the Norfolk Comedy Festival at Green Dragon Tavern in Wymondham.
