Although fun, fast, and a bit of a catch, three-and-a-half-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Darley, wasn't named after the home of British motor racing but the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Darlington where he was first rehomed three years ago.

Kate Brewster, Dogs Trust Snetterton supporter relations officer, said: 'Darley was recently handed over to us here at the Snetterton centre because his owners could no longer give him the attention he needs and deserves. This happy chap has a real love for life, but unfortunately not for kennels, so we would like to see him find his forever home as soon as possible.

'A sweet and sensitive boy, Darley loves human company, and is looking for owners who are going to be around most of the time, especially in those important first few months when Darley is settling in to his new environment, and finding his paws. At the top of Darley's list of favourite things is a game of tug-of-war, closely followed by being stroked. So if pats and toys are in the plenty, Darley will be one contented canine.'
